Cambodia was an awesome place filled with many different beautiful architecture. Angkor Wat, Golden Pagoda, Elephant Temple.. These are such wonderful and beautiful buildings built by the Cambodia government.
The mystical aura surrounding Bayon kept us all mystified and staring in awe. The many faces of Buddhas looking down at you, smiling, gives you a sense of unweariness. But, only if those architects have not stolen all those buddhas heads, it would have been a tad more beautiful.... ~Sigh
Most of the families that we have met there were poor and some even homeless. Therefore, they sometimes have only one meal to eat everyday. The orphanage we went to was one example of those children whose parents have passed away. Looking at how poor they were, we felt a sense of dread that people in Singapore could not cherish what they had. There, they only had two sets of clothes to wear.
Tonle Sap Lake was gorgeous. It was simply beautiful and I could not express beyond words. Looking into the lake that spanned hundreds of kilometres, it was too beautiful to be true. Then again, the floating villages were marvels of architecture. Building one whole restaurant in the middle of the lake? You've got to be kidding, right?
On the whole, the experience was very enriching and wholesome. I can't wait to go again!
